Totally agree with you on that. I think In&Out's fries suck.
They taste cold and greasy to me every time I've got them. I swear they are cold before I get to the table and sit down...EVERY time.
Was going to say the same thing. I've never seen a real White Castle place but have tried the frozen ones. Not too bad but it only made me imagine how much better (and CHEAPER!) the real ones are at the restaurant.
I used to mock overly caloric foods by using a Simpson's reference of Homer topping foods with a fried egg until I dated a girl from Germany and she made me food...topped with a fried egg!
I guess that's common over there.

I've seen that fried egg burger on the menu and it does look very good. They have ones with spicy sauce that also look tasty. And oh yes, presentation is very important with Japanese food, even fast food. I still get a kick out of seeing the fake food dish displays outside of almost every restaurant over there. Actually it's awesome, you get to see what all the dishes look like and how much they cost without even setting foot inside. You can window shop for lunch.
MOS Burger had a burger with a fried egg on it that was goooood. Plus, they had this tasty teriyaki mayo on one of the burgers that I really liked. They were these odd but dynamite combination of stuff that was put together in the most remarkable way. The Japanese also have a real appreciation for presentation and a result, a "fast food burger" looks like it just stepped off the pages of a magazine.
They love mayo, that's for sure. And their Kewpie Mayo is the best stuff, seriously!
I always bring back a bunch of that in my suitcase, because it's not cheap to buy over here.

Hell's yeah! For me it's a Burger King whopper w/cheese, hold the pickles, and then McDonald's fries and Coke. I don't know what McDonald's does different with their Coke, but it tastes gorgeous!I frequently go to one fast food place for a burger and then swing by McDonald's for fries, if I am in an area of town where fast food is clustered together.
I'll take just about any burger over McDonald's, but I'll take McDonald's fries over almost any others.
Wendy's is just about the only fast food place where I will get a burger AND fries.....topped off with a Frosty, of course.Leave a comment:

I've only had their shrimp burgers, how are their actual hamburgers? I'll have to try one some time.
I only went to Wendy's in Japan one time, and I accidentally ordered a mushroom cheeseburger (which I didn't want or like) because my Japanese sucks.

By the way, one of Sonic's founders was born in my hometown. I failed to mention that because I figured since I have mentioned before, in separate threads, that Sam Walton was born there, the founder of the Iditarod was born there, and The Coleman Company and TG&Y were both founded there (in a town with a population of less than 4500) you all would just think I was full of crap.

Just thought I'd chime in here. I've never had Sonic, but Here's my list.....
Best "fast food" burger: Red Robin (not REALLY fast food, but....) or Burger King double...
Best fast food fries: no question- Good Times!!!!! Anybody had those? peppery! mmmm
Best fast food shake: Good Times butterscotch carmel Spoonbender OR Wendy's Frosty
Also...can't believe nobody here mentioned White Castle....... also-just plain grocery store Jalapeno Poppers in the oven for 14 minutes is one heck of a midnight snack.....Leave a comment:
