A show like this needs some time to develop its characters and storylines. I thought the premiere was clumsy and rushed, but still watchable. I hope it improves in the coming weeks.

And I hope they lose the petulant, "troubled" younger sister.

I liked it, and will tune in next week again. A couple minor things bugged me, but hey it beats the heck out of a lot of crap on TV

Actually another thing I didn't like about it, was that it relied too much on special effects. Not enough imagination. Sorry, it's the purist in me.

I'm gonna go against the grain here. I watched it a couple of days ago on Comcast OnDemand. I didn't like it. The only reason I watched it at all was b/c my buddy Miguel Ferrer is in it. He's a really great guy and I wanted to see what he'd do. But the storyline was all over the place, it moved too fast and the opening scene was just too violent. Personally, I think it belongs on tje 10pm time slot b/c I have a feeling some of my students are going to watch.

It definitely won't generate the magic or the mechandise of the original series. I don't think it will last. But hopefully the Sci-Fi Channel will start airing the original series again.

I second that! As far as the new show I checked it out, and I thought it was Ok. Didn't really grab me to be completely honest.
