Walking with Dinosaurs - Live T-Rex performance

Watch this and tell me this isn't the coolest performance ever! This is coming to Louisville and I think I will have to go. I think the Dinos are a combination of people inside puppeteering them and some very cool mechanics for facial gestures. You will be amazed at the believability of them when you see it. Incredible...

This is a really fun show. I suggest checking out the 'early presale' sort of thing if you have that in your area. Tix here were HALF PRICED for the first week of presales, and a local grocery chain had a promotion that would have let us watch the show for about TEN bucks a person if I had looked in the right places first.
I don't know if you will have the same sort of deals in your area as I am sure it is all up to the promoter on these things, but be sure to keep a look out as the tickets are pretty pricey.

Also, be on the lookout for any local PR they may be doing. I found out about the show here when they brought one of the Utah Raptors to the University where(and when) we just happened to be going for a music lesson. I turned the corner to get to my regular parking area and CRIPES!!!! there was a living dino running around the street and lawn. Serious double take and a very amazing surprise.

I posted about that here a little while back.
I was attacked by a dinosaur today - Mego Talk

Anyway. Not sure how to go about it as they did not have a high profile on their PR events, but I do know that the Raptors were in a few different places about 3 or 4 weeks before the show; so keep your eyes and ears peeled.

The dinos are amazing in the show. I found the single person operated ones (baby Trex, and the Raptors) to be the most fascinating, but really all of them were pretty amazing. The sauropods pretty much touched the ceiling in the arena we were at.
    good times.
