    Iron Man 2

Saw it this morning with the family. Thought it was awesome! Better than the first one if that's possible.

Make sure you stay till all the credits have rolled. You've been warned.

Just back from a screening at work,
and I was less impressed with it.

Fun, but not as good as the first one,
and I thought Scarlett J. was horribly miscast.

But a couple of fun geeky moments,
      including the post-credit scene.

D'oh I just started a post in the comics section as well.
Anyway I took my son to the 4pm showing and thought it was great.
Not deep story wise but a really fun movie and it delivers.

Just saw it tonight in the Ovation Club in the Majestic 12 Theater in downtown Chattanooga. The movie was awesome! And the Ovation Club is a VIP theater for 21 and older with reclining leather seats, a full wait staff, and free popcorn. I can't think of a better Geek's Night Out!!
I enjoyed the movie. It was a lot of fun, and it was cool to see Jim Rhoades become War Machine. And if you're a big time Marvel fan, definitely stick around until after the credits roll at the end. The surprise is just as awesome!!!!
          Cheers.

I was really expecting to hear Ac/dc's War machine thunder through the speakers when he appeared on screen...Missed opportunity I think.

That song is pretty slim pickins for good bits...even tho' KISS was not the
chosen band for the soundtrack their take on that title is a lot
more juicy as far as soundtrack potential IMHO.

Saw it last night with the boy and a pal of mine, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm a little caught up in the afterglow, so I won't say which movie I liked better now, but it's a worthy successor to the first for sure.

Not a big Black Widow fan, but I thougth Johansen did a credible job.

This one is a little more kid-friendly, I think. No scary terrorists and no obvious sex references.

                  Definitely stay after the credits!!!

Definitely a great way to keep the franchise alive. Lots of geek out moments, and great development of the overall Marvel franchise as well.

I saw it last night and was very happy with it. Unfortunatelly, I did not stay after the credits. If anyone wants to PM me what I missed, I'd appreciate it. I'm guessing it had something to do with the Avengers movie they will make down the road.

Well, i am very pleased to see so many enjoyed IM2, i've read responses on other fan sites too which have been very similar. The key seems to be not taking the flick too seriously with a heavy dose of pop corn.

If only it were THAT easy...personally, I think there's a big part of the
population that is so basking in the afterglow of the largely successful IM1,
that they'd let "more than the usual" slide when it comes to plot/script for IM2.

I'm also of the belief that RDJ's charisma is what sold IM1 more than any
other one particular point of the IM1 production...but movie after movie,
if the writing, etc.'s not there, the value of even RJD's persona'll start to
                          wear thin.

                            Awesome movie!

I had low expectations for the first one and it far exceeded them. This one I had high expectations and it delivered.

The actor change for Rhoades didn't bother me.

I thought Scarlett was a fine choice for BW and I like that BW was a part of this.

The War Machine story was dne well.

I liked Rourke and I even like the way they adapted Whiplash even though it had little to do with the comics and the need movies had to connect everyone directly rather than just having a bad guy sometimes gets to me. (btw did you notice that the bad guy isn't actually whiplash at all - they just added the whiplash element to another bad guy)

Other adaptations in this film are nice. I would have liked them to use the alcoholism as the reason for driving some changes but I understand the reasons to go another direction.

As Chris said this one is DEFINITELY more kid friendly. No terrorism, guns at dad's head, torture, or sex scenes. There is still plenty of violence, scary stuff and inuendos but a well adjusted kid could see this one.

The action scenes were done right - lots of action and not dragged out.

                            Way cool movie.

I should have expected the after credit scene because it has already been revealed.

loved the soundtrack and all the comic book geekness.
