dam that didn't last long, say what you want about Vince but no will ever take down the WWE while he's in charge
Testify!!!
Not even the feds could take down Vince...LOL
They tried years ago.
I think the only thing to take him down will be his health or taxes...
When it comes to wrestling he is a genius. He makes wrestlers he also destroys them.
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”
I was laughing my butt off when the TNA announcers were saying that the fans called for the change of days...and that Dixie Carter did it to please them...they said this with a straight face...lol...that's just too funny.
WWE was just slaughtering TNA on Mondays...it's that simple...
I dont know about the fans, but I do know the licensee's of TNA were screaming for a change, and were starting to threaten to pull out completely. I was working on a project for one of them, but with ratings having fallen to less then half of what they were, and the story lines changing by the day, the project was shelved.
Hulk and his buddies more than doubled (thats what we heard directly from TNA) their salary output, but they have so far killed their ad revenue, killed ticket sales (which werent great before) and repelled further licensed projects. If it doesnt turn around quick, Hulkie will be looking for work again....if indeed the entire franchise doesnt go boom!

WWE has always slaughtered TNA, but at least there's competition of a sort.
Vince makes money, plain and simple. Culture and chance make great wrestlers.
True ,true but I don't care what wrestler you choose without the massive exposure by vince they would not become Iconic or legendary.That is just the facts nowadays.I am not refering to the glory days when wrestlers had exposure through other companies or regions;
Calgary stampepe,WCW,ECW,etc,etc.
Now it pretty much boils down to TNA and WWE.WWE having the edge by a long shot.
If Vince wants to put you over the top Cause he smells money,he will if he doesn't you won't become huge that's just the way it is.

I am a loooong time wrestling fan and have to say the current big 2 absolutely suck. WWe has lady wrestlers that are all eye candy, no tallent. The few tallents that had both (Mickey James,Trish Stratus) all gone! what are you left with? G.L.O.W.W.E. Bring back G.L.O.W. if you just want some t&a. RING OF HONOR is the best kept secret, graet moves and the focus on the actual WRESTLING! storylines are ok too.
TNA needs to realize Hogan being there generates star power, BUT ditch the has-beens. Scott Hall, is was and always will be one of my favorites, but his personal habits and those of Sean Waltman (1-2-3-kid,Syxx) along with a lazy work ethic just suck. If they took the young tallent available (Shelton Benjamin was just released) and gave them a push, rather than say another Scott Steiner or Lex Luger run. Hogan Loaded the TNA ship with more has-beens than a vh1 reality show. Ship's a going down!!!
Actually TNA wasn't getting slaughtered on Mondays. TNA was doing pretty good on their live shows, actually showing some increases in ratings while WWE was declining... The problem was their taped shows. They couldn't run taped shows against live Raws. If TNA could have ever had two back to back LIVE shows, the ratings would have likely increased each week. But you can't build any momentum off a live show when you have to run a taped show the week after.
Plus Spike TV insisted that they keep the replay on Thursdays. Spike didn't want to lose their Thursday ratings. So how could TNA ever compete with taped shows and a replay on another night?
And the real dirty secret... Nobody watches wrestling anymore. TNA at it's peak draws about half of what the WWE draws. I think the hope was that if there was another "war" people would get interested again, but the reality is, WWE has burned so many of the old fans out, that they just don't care anymore. The only people left watching WWE are hardcore devout WWE fans, not wrestling fans. Which is a big difference.
Whereas back in the WCW/WWF days you had WCW fans, WWF fans a huge pool of "wrestling" fans. THose wrestling fans are gone.
Yeah, and IN A WORLD dominated by WWE, I'm not sure what that means. Territories, though they might try to survive, are long gone, there talent sucked up by the majors. Realistically, the last major superstars were of the Attitude era. I'm not sure that anyone since Austin/Rocky/Foley will achieve that kind of domination.
