The Bat and the Shat (can't believe I never heard of this)

A 1963 TV pilot for Alexander The Great, where the Shat plays Alexander and in a smaller role is Adam West. The Shat rescues Adam West early in the show and we see him again later too.

All the Shat/Kirk elements are there. The delivery, the tendency to go bare chested, the tendency to kiss the chicks.

Plus, many of the outdoor sequences and fights (besides the stock footage) were filmed at the Vasquez Rocks site where the Shat eventually fought the Gorn and then the site became Vulcan in Trek 4 and the New Trek movie.

Quality is not too hot but it's still fun, especially for the Star Trek fan.

This also has Joseph Cotten (a great movie actor) and John Cassavetes who continued to act but is more notable for being a director.

Amazon.com: Alexander the Great: Joseph Cotten, John Cassavetes, William Shatner, Phil Karlson: Movies TV

Yeah, I had seen this before. I wish there was a cleaner version of it.

Edited: I didn't realize the link was to a DVD until after I posted. I have only seen the clips posted on youtube which had very bad tracking problems. Might have to check out the DVD.

Shat even spanks the Bat with his little sword.

Why is this not a musical?

The DVD is comparable to an old TV broadcast.

Shatner and Adam West, it doesn't get much better.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
