Anyone know about paving driveways?

is $3300 bucks to pave my 2 driveways? ones wide enough to park 2 card bumper to bumper and the other one car

how thick is the asphalt and are they removing the existing and putting down new item 4? what are the dimensions of the driveway. can't really tell you much without having an idea of actial square footage

not sure he measured it, yes they're removing the old and digging down 6 inches to put crushed stone under the new pavement and making it wider then it is now.

There's 2 kinds of asphalts ... The base and the topping.

If you use just the base it's cheaper (I don't know how much)

Disadvantage is they use bigger stones in the base so it looks a little rough.

With the price of concrete these days $3300 seems a good price. Get a few quotes from other firms. Check out his past work, too. Has it cracked? Does he do a good job of finishing it?

Driveways are a lot of work. I'd rather pay the money than take the time and effort for a DIY -- not to mention the hassle...

Asphalt sucks to shovel , move and even out witha roller. .... Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

$3300 is not a bad price for removal of the old driveway and installation of the 2 new ones. Is there any guarantee? How many years is it guaranteed? Also ask for past customers as references. Always a good idea to get the vin number off his truck in case the person doesn't honor his guarantee so you can put a lien on his work vehicle.

Thats a decent deal. My driveway sounds like your big one. 4 cars one in front of the other, two rows. I got a quote from a reasonable company of $2800. They were well known and had good reviews. So if it's worth $500 for your other driveway it should be pretty good based against that experience.

Sounds like a good deal, especially compared to our prices. You'd probably pay double that here
