Guess what I got at the Antique Mall today

We enjoyed a day off today and drove an extra hour south from a flea market to RiverView Antique Mall. Its a pretty big mall,Its a WalMart size store. But what did I get? Bubkis , nothing absolutly not a thing.I've found several things there over the years. But she was dry today, not even anything to consider buying. The only good thing that came from the trip was we came back up through Amish country for some cheese and beef jerky and a realy great supper at Yoder's.Just wanted to let anyone close save the gas and trip nothing good left there now. Thanks for listening

Yeah, I've had many dry spells at local flea markets and "antique malls", and I'm surrounded by a bunch of them. Seems to get worse as years go by.

ebay killed antique malls years ago.

Today, anything at an antique mall is either too big or too crappy to list on ebay.

        Or too expensive.

It's much harder to find something rare or even decent because of that. People think since they aren't selling it on Ebay, they can charge $30 for some old crappy toy. Where prior to Ebay, they'd have it priced at a nickel.

It's a shame, but given all the positive effects of Ebay, it's no major loss.
