Rest In Peace, Alice Ghostly, 81

Oh, she was fabulous! I loved her on Bewitched and on Designing Women! A really talented lady.

Who will spy on the unusual goings on at the neighborhood?

RIP to a fixture of tvland.

Palitoy, wasn't that Mrs. Kravitz from across the street?

Alice played the ditzy Aunt Esmeralda. Her spells never worked. LOL!!! She was fabulous in that show.

            Yeah, she was Esmerelda.

I'm not sure why, but I am fascinated with character actors. It seems like there was a pool in the 60's and 70's that just made appearances throught so many series. They were like neighbors you recognized but didn't really know.

He might be confusing her with Alice Pearce who first played Gladys Kravitz until she passed away. Sandra Gould took over the role.

Alice Ghostley was also the auto shop teacher in the movie Grease.

Good actresses never die, they just fade away (like Esmeralda). RIP Alice.

That woman had the ditzy-but-likable-older-lady down pat. She played it in everything I ever saw here in. Bewitched, Grease, Designing Women, and everything else she showed up on. Definitely a TV staple.

Oddly enough, I wasn't even referring to Bewitched when I thought of that, I can't remember what I saw her in where she was the neighbour but with a resume like hers, it's hard to tell.

                      Sad news.

Guess we are reaching the point in our lives where the actors we watched as kids are passing on.
