    Classic Galactica question

Ok..in the 2 parter with Count Ibly and the angels... The wreckage they find on the planet, they toss a bunch of hints that it was the Pegasus. but they never come out and say it, not sure why.. unless I'm wrong..

    thoughts?

Correct they never overtly say it's Pegasus, we just infer that since Apollo and Starbuck won't allow Sheba to see through the door. It could just as easily be a "monster" as Ibly is shown, when Apollo laser's him. Only Glen Larson could answer for sure
This was great writing it let us all come to a conclusion without precluding the possibility of a return of Cain and the pegasus in the seasons that never happened had the desire been there.

I just watched those episodes recently. I never picked up on the Pegasus possibility, but now it makes the episodes that much more interesting.

Oh, good, my geek knowledge is coming into play. The original scene for this was written in the script as them looking down and seeing a pair of devil's hooves crushed under some wreckage. (I've always imagined how the Wicked Witch of the East looked under Dorothy's house.) ABC censors said they couldn't do that, so they went with the mysterious version that never shows what's there. Larson had never intended it to imply the Pegasus, as he had planned to bring Lloyd Bridges back for a guest appearance in season two.
              It's all good!

It was not the Pegasus, a few years back a comic book company used the scripts to the second season of the original Galactica and the Pegasus shows up again, the evil Ilby was trying to trick the crew (it all goes into the ship of light vs. Ilby concept that was to be part of the second season.( I once thought the same thing though).

Yeah, I didn't think so. I never got the impression that it was supposed to be the Pegasus so I rewatched the eps last night and I still didn't get that impression. My thoughts when seeing the show before, and then again when I watched it last night, was that it was intended to be Ibly's ship and that what they saw were the bodies of the "creature" that Ibly was, ie his fellow shipmates. Also, that his "enemies", the blue lights, were responsible for crashing the ship.

However, one thing I had forgotten were those "uniforms" they wore when playing Triad. And I certainly wish I hadn't been reminded of them. So, thanks Riffster for causing me to watch those eps again and now I have to live with THAT image burned in my mind till I forget about it!

                    Dude,

I'm a die hard, tried and true BG fan, and I'd have to say even though as I referenced in my previous post, that Hector and Vector were pretty silly, the singular, most disturbing thing in that entire series, are those triad uniforms. I don't know who's idea that was, or how they came up with them, but wow... There really are no words are there?

I see Richard Hatch at a Jamba Juice I go to often in Studio City, and every time I see him, we laugh about that uniform. I always bust his chops about it and give him grief. He's a good guy. Super down to Earth and fun to swap stories with.

That's very cool. I'd love to meet him. And yeah, bust on him for me as well. Those uniforms were BRUTAL! Tell him I liked him in "Deadman's Curve" as well. I was/am a big Jan and Dean fan.

I was watching that two parter in my office the other day, it was well written and holding my interest and then Laurel and Hardy-bot arrive.

They made me "jarjar mad", I had to stop watching.

The funny part about that Brian, is that both of those actors (Bolger and Mantooth) are favorites, but man... Those bots come on the scene, and the whole thing just goes haywire and in a completely different direction.

I always got the same vibe from the Hector and Vector episode as one gets from the "Gary Seven" episode of TOS. Almost like it was a backdoor pilot for a spin-off series.
                              It's all good!
