    John Lennon just imagine............................

Cried like the baby I was in 1980(10 goin on 11)when the news came on about John's assasination.
    John Lennon.Too influential it seems.
Wonder what the world would be like today if his message would not have come to such a brutal halt?...............................?............. .....?
    Just wonderin........

me too, and I very often wonder about the music we lost by his tragic end. Chapman will rot in hell for what he did

        I was a big Lennon fan ...
        I was 15 in 1980

Even though i'm a huge fan i'm not afraid to guess if Lennon lived we'd get a lot more Yoko is soooo great songs

Maybe a Beatles reunion in the mid 80's when Paul was petering out of steam.

          Yoko was great,in John's opinion.
          That's alright by me.
Just wonderin how things would be today with him still around.
I think he would have caused too much of a stir for todays political leaders.
Bono's doing his bit,but he seems to know enough not to stir the s**t too much.
Am sure revolution number 10 would have come around.

I think if Lennon was still alive he would have mellowed bigtime.

He already started to mellow by the time he died.

I often pondered on the is question and what keeps coming to mind is that he never really enjoyed fatherhood. That really burns me up. He got a second chance at being a father and only enjoyed it briefly.
I believe too he would have mellowed out but played some kick arse shows.

Don't beleive any reasoning could stand up to this act, unless you want to try to reason some paranoia?

Those of you who named He Who MUST Remain Nameless have just given him the reassurance that his actions of that night were worth it. Why do you think he killed Lennon? So that he, a loser nobody, would have some fame as John Lennon's killer.

When you mention his name, you give him the recognition that he craved.

Lennon would have mellowed as he got older, and he would have split from the dragon lady....and the Beatles would have had a reunion tour and maybe a record or two, all their peers did it so it would have been inevitable.
                          .
like it or not Joe, Chapman did become famous, or rather infamous, as someone who murdered a beloved and iconic person. for all the good it did him,. they will never relase him fomr prison, he would be taken out by somone right quick

I don't think there would have been a Beatles Reunion. Sure Paul, George and Ringo did some stuff a few years back I just don't think John's sensibilities would have changed all that much. Also I think John would have leveled out some. I do think he would have still continued to champion certain causes (Weare the Worls? He would have so been there) but as far as politics I think he would step back considering the nature of today's political parties and practices. BUt then again he did start out as a roughneck and may have came full circle and decided to tell all the two faced former "love children" to get over themselves and let it be. IN which of course Paul would sue for usage rights. Sorry I was starting to get a little too heavy. Also I think the more interesting thing to have seen play out with John and PAul would have been the BEatles catalog of music. I bet ya it wouldn't have been Michael JAckson.

The way I understand it, John was the most gung ho about having a possible Beatles reunion in the 70's

I don't think Lennon had the I HATE THE BEATLES attitude that he sometimes suggested.

Lennon's attitude on everything changed more often than the weather.

Yoko would have been all for a Beatles reunion because she's very money savy and knows it would have ment huge bucks for the Lennons.

I think people lately overestimate and underestimate John Lennon

The man has become a myth and myths are never a portrait of the real man.
