Lived in interesting life and made some interesting music. Or at least help.

Brilliant in a dirty/distorted sort of way. The sex pistols will always be an interesting chapter in the book of Rock and Roll, primarily due to their antics, which McLaren was often directly responsible for. RIP.

May he RIP. Gotta love a rebel.

Aside from the Sex Pistols, I remember him mostly for his Madam Butterfly.

I really liked the guy and remember he did a hip hop history thing in the 80's

McLaren was a real piece of work. I'm a huge Sex Pistols fan, and I've always thought Malcolm was a self-aggrandizing con man. Still, his death leaves me a little sad. He had a certain quirky charm. Just last week, I watched The Great Rock And Roll Swindle for the umpteenth time. Regardless of whatever bad can be said about him, he was a real character. I always enjoyed hearing him speak, even when I knew full well that nearly every word that passed his lips was complete and utter bull****.

Rest in peace, you old swindler.
