    Steely Dan.

I saw a book two days ago at a record store. It was a used book explaining the lyrics of Talking Heads. I usewd to try and figure them out as a teen. My buddy used to try and figure out Pink Floyd.

    STILL.....

Steely Dan has ALWAYS intrested me.

It's like every song is about some dude in teh neighborhood we all used to know. . . . . ?

When I worked concert security I had the distinct pleasure of doing front stage for these guys. It was a second job for me and had worked a full shift that day. I fell asleep while sitting in the chair. It's not like anyone was gonna rush the stage or anything. They're just way too mellow for me. The nice couple sitting front row, that I had been talking to prior to the start, were nice enough to kick me and wake me up before anyone noticed.....I hope.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Yeah,Steely Dan has always given me the impression of being an old friend.
I remember trying to understand Led Zeppelin's words and not getting it until a brother turned me on to some Quebec gold. All the lyrics just came out clearer, and made sense after that...............

Unlike a lot of 70's performers Steely Dan always had a lot of class.

I've always really liked Steely Dan's music. I count myself as a big Steely Dan fan. Becker and ***an wrote a lot of great songs and they're still out there putting on great shows.

Steely Dan was, and still is, ahead of their time. No genre of music can define them.

Gotta put the Greatest Hits cd back in the car now!

Deacon Blues is one of my favorite songs:
