Last week, my wife and I left the comfort of our home in Brooklyn NY, and came to Temecula, CA (near San Diego) to visit my father in law who is very ill.

Today, we were caught in our very first earthquake. This thing was SERIOUS. I screamed like a girly-man, and damn near soiled my shorts! The darn ground that I took for granted as being SOLID under my feet literally rolled like friggin' ocean waves!

      I am NOT amused!!

We don't have earthquakes often in Kentucky, but I still remember one that occurred when I was five years old. My parents and I were outside, going through stuff we'd cleaned out of our basement, when the ground started to shake. My older sister ran out on the deck to tell my Mom the washer was unbalanced again.

Glad that the life lost on this seems to be minimal compared to what else has happened in the world. Hope it calms down now for awhile.
          It's all good!
