My new pez custom work in progress

I'm making custom pez for my daughter and her friends for her birthday. My daughter and I both love pez.

I need to sand everything smooth on this, make another mold and cast it in plastic. Then I'll airbrush it and finish it with a brush.

Here's how it was done:
Break a heart pez apart. Throw away the both sides of the heart. That leaves you with the inner part that snaps onto the sleeve.
My daughter gave me a rubber mouse toy she had laying around. I cut the head off, split it up the back, glued it around the part that connects to the sleeve.
Took some Aves epoxy sculpt fixed some damaged areas, sculpted some details in.
Made a mold out of dow corning silicone rubber.
Poured plastic into the mold. After the head cured I popped it on the sleeve. I need to sculpt a nose for him as well. Still needs lots of finish work and a new mold made. But I'm real happy with it so far. It works and looks just like a real pez. I hate fantasy pez that don't work and something is just glued to the stem. When I'm done I want it to look like pez made it.

Customizing Pez, never heard of that before, but it sure looks like Pez made it.

She does. I'm not sure why sometimes. Haha. My work just let about 400 of us go on Thurs. I explained what happened to my 6 year old daughter and she said, what no more money. Then she said I should go work for pez that's what I'm good at. If only it was that easy. Since my daughter started collecting pez I've lost interest in most of my action figures. It's alot more fun collecting with her.

Very cool Jason. I've seen several over the years but they are usually Super Hero related like Batgirl and Harley Quinn. But they didn't look anywhere near as good as yours does and of course they didn't work or look right.
