Have a bet with some co-worker about a game show from the 70's, might have been the 60's.
Ok here goes. it was a puzzle type game wherein segments of the puzzle were uncovered in small tiles at a time. Contestants had to answer question to uncover the tiles and take a guess at the puzzle.
the puzzle was the sort that had you spelling out words by looking at pictures so for example you might have a picture of a "Ham" then there was a "+" sign then a picture of a mermaid where the 1st syllable of Mermaid was highlighted..(of course they didn't spell it out for you all the time)...so that word would be HAM+MER and so you sound it out and solve the rest of the puzzle. I mean it could have been something like "maxwell's silver hammer" but that would have been pretty long.
anyone remember the name of this show??
Thanks
