I'm going to see this along with Iron Man 2 and KickA$$.
Sam Worthington seems to have the Midus touch at the moment, anything he is in seems to do well, its a pity they didn't consider him a good enough actor to play an American in 1st Avenger

I'm a little irritated that every sword and sandal epic is aping '300' nowadays, but being a big fan of Sinbad flicks as well as having seen the originial in the theater as a kid, I'll probably catch this one in the theater.

                >His face when he roars also reminds me a little of the Rancor fron Jedi

Brian Blessed? Never thought of that before, but now that you mention it....

Not sure about the 3d one. They took 2d footage and turned it into 3d after the fact because of Avatar. If I watch it, I think I might stick with the 2d version.

Saw it...ho hum. Nothing I would say glaringly bad about it...but I generally don't get upset at remakes when done correctly and Clash certainly deserved an update.

It was just kind of boring. I really didn't care about any of the characters whether they succeeded or failed, lived or died...etc., things that were given hype failed to deliver, and changes made did not improve the story or even put a meaning twist or perspective on it so I ended up not particularly caring because of them. I can forgive movies a lot of things if they do what they are intended to do, which is entertain. Unfortunately, the movie just didn't do it for me.

Finally, there was really no point other than money for the making it 3d as my experience was certainly not enhanced by whatever was changed.

^^ this new Clash wasn't filmed in 3d, but rather 'enhanced' with the technology. I would suppose that makes for the 3duddiness of it.

yep pretty much sums it up...the 3-d was totally forgettable (and 3 smackers extra). Not even close to the original, story wise, and just as far from Mythology. The end makes you say good lord they are thinking sequel.....

the director has actually acknowledged he based it on the Rancor, in part. So there you go. I want to see the movie but will likely just wait for the Bluray
