I knew it would be tough for people to just pick one, that's part of what I wanted, people to really have to dig down and give it some thought. Great answers so far, and a great variety. Not many doubles at all so far

I would have to go with Star Wars too. It was so above and beyond any movie I had ever seen in it's day and it has always remained with me.Comment

Usual Suspects"Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"
In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

Pinball Summer
Okay, I seriously can't do it. Some of my favorites are Bambi, Singin' in the Rain, Citizen Kane, Raiders of the Lost Arc, The Wizard of Oz, Network, 2001: A Space Odyssey, King Kong, Eraserhead, Raising Arizona - I can't even really compare them to each other. Duck Soup or Die Hard? Those movies have nothing to do with each other, but I'm so happy when I watch any of them! ARGG!!
It's possible that I've re-watched Raiders of the Lost Arc more than any other movie, because when I was a kid I ran our VHS copy at least 200 times - so that's my gun-to-head answer based on mathematics.
I also HIGHLY recommend Pinball Summer.Comment

I would have to go with Star Wars. It's a movie that has affected my entire life.....ironically Empire is actually my favorite of the series but the first movie was just pure magic to my five year old mind and is still my all time favoriteComment
