I was never a fan of the Kroft shows as a kid and found I liked the HB clone "Valley of the Dinosaurs" better than LOTL. I was mostly Superfriends, Bugs Bunny, and most anything by Filmation. I have thought about getting some of the Kroft shows on DVD to watch, but I always say to myself that if I didn't like them as a kid, why would I like them now? Sorry, Sandy.

          Hey man,

I hear you... No worries. Krofft is definitely an acquired taste. I know it's not for everyone, and it's more of a kids thing. I'm just still super connected to my childhood, I guess.

I'm still there, too and just waiting for my kids to pass me by I thought I was spelling Krofft wrong. Two Fs.

and the Krofft stuff is soooo 70s it's sick.

Have I watched any of it recently, no, but even if I HATED the stuff in most ways,
I'd STILL love the visual stuff there.

And DR. SHRINKER will always be my first "favorite show" outside of cartoons.

My first memories of Krofft were the Bugaloos. Hippie bugs..LOL.
I loved H.R. Pufnstuf. Watching it again(in the 90's) after having not seen it in over 20 years was a bit of a letdown but I still enjoyed it.
"Oranges, smoranges...there ain't no rhyme for oranges" LOL
I also loved LIdsville, Wonder Bug, Sigmund, etc. but I haven't seen nearly any of them (except a clip or three on youtube) since their first-run.
I loved Land of the Lost and I actually thought it held up fairly well after viewing it again last year when the movie came out.
They really don't make things like they used to. A cliche'? Yes, I know but so true. I think it's cool that Sharry can still find her inner child every Saturday morning like that. I can still feel like a kid but I lost my saturday morning child when the 70's came to a close.

I still love them all and have no problems watching ANY of them now. Naturally Land of the Lost being my favorite. I love the fact that it was played up seriously and didn't go too far into the stupid realm (not counting season 3 though), and the stories themselves were not that bad all considering the age group it was meant for. I like the fact that it had more than enough for adults to get into it and that it did not fully cater to "the young kids"

after your Sleestak and Chaka we need Marshal, Will and Holly

It really bothers me that Rhino dropped the ball and did not release everything they could have with the Krofft show license in their possession a few years back

                        Hmmmm....

Even as a kid I found them kinda painful to sit through. (My tastes have always leaned towards violent Japanese cartoons.) But I DO like the designs and ideas for a lot of them. Land of the Lost had some really cool concepts, and I like the toyetic look of the dinosaurs. I like a lot of the Supershow stuff in the same way; more for the idea than the reality.

Far out Space Nuts and Krofft Supershow DVD's would have certainly been nice...

Some hokey stuff holds up. Doctor Who is still good despite bottom barrel special effects at times.

The original MOTU cartoon however, is almost unwatchable. Between the really gay overtones (that aren't real but seem that way) and the crappy animation it's almost unwatchable.

Most of those shows are so hokey, I'd have to watch them with a kid to actually enjoy them, through their eyes so to speak.
