    Removing an AFA case?

So good news I found a couple of "Canadian Grails" over the weekend thanks to a random bit of good fortune and a friend. The negative part is they're in those AFA cases.

I'd really like to photograph them so I'm wondering how many people have had experience removing the cases. I'll probably still use them afterwords, the grading has little to no meaning for me.

I'm not an AFA fan in the least but I would consider keeping them sealed and photograph them through the case.

In the long run, them beings sealed and graded might raise their value if you ever decide to sell them someday.

    Just a thought.

Future value has absolutely no bearing here for me.

Brain, I think you have to destroy the case to remove the item.

Contact MegoGeek. He's done it before.

Someone posted a tutorial on how to safely free a MOC figure from an AFA case over at Rebelscum (with photos), just did a search but couldn't find it. Will have another look...

It warms my cynical old heart to find someone who feels like me. To each his own, but "grading" just contradicts everything that says "toy" to me.
Grading is taking a cute furry little teddybear and then putting it in a vacuum plastic bag so it won't get dusty and keep its value.

Just be careful. Knew a guy that had some baseball cards graded and when he got them back he was unhappy with the grades some got and destroyed an expensive card trying to remove it.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.
