Except . . . Y'know, I don't get the current focus on making every superhero so young . . . Cap needs a certain gravity and presence that you can usually only get with age. I think Valley would be solid in the part, and be able to play the leader of a team like the Avengers far more effectively than Johnny Storm. That was much of my problem with the Abrams "Star Trek" movie -- Kirk was too much of the "young hotshot" than the "solid, experienced leader" and I had trouble buying the story from that.
Realistically, they're going to make a Cap movie and an Avengers movie to come out in the same year, and if the studio stays true to form, we'll be lucky to get one more Cap movie a couple years later before the suits decide to reboot . . . unless Valley completely let himself go, he could play it.
Just sayin' . . .Last edited by knight errant00; Mar 20, '10, 11:13 PM.Comment

That is why, IMO, The Punisher movies never worked. Frank Castle also needed to be older, rougher, brawnier.
That is why, even though he played it well, Jackman will never be Wolverine to me. Too tall, too handsome, too smooth. He needed to be an older, short, rough, scrapping bas**rd.....

Well, that's the way I've always seen Cap in my comics: built like a mixture of Adonis and Atlas, and with a certain wisdom and experience you get over the years.

They really should got John Cena for Cap ...., I think he mighta pulled it off..., Cap is like 6'1 .. 245 or so ... Cena's Body so looks like Comicbook Cap to me.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
always trading for Hot Toys Figures .Comment
