25 years ago, I remember these small computers (I can't remember the name of them, maybe a Coleco computer, maybe) that they used to display front and center in the mall at Radio Shack.

I don't know if it used DOS as an operating system but my brother and I used to program dirty words into the computer and have it continue to scroll it over and over across the screen as people would walk by.

It was a basic 4 line program but we thought we were the hacking geniuses of the day.

Radio Shack had the Tandy version of what was the Commodore line (Vic-20 and Commodore 64). They were very similar right down to the controllers for the games. TI came out with the 99A which is what I had. I still have it. It looks like new. It was obsolete before it was worn out. They were never even close to what Apple released though those were never really affordable for home users in the early days. Man have times changed.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

I'm laughing because I do. Those were the simple scripts you would write on the Tandy computers to get it to repeat the same verse over and over again across a computer screen.

The Radio Shack people hated us punk kids because they would have their Tandy computers sitting right in front of the store so everone walking by could see them and then someone like me would walk up, type in one of these repeateable scripts and next thing you know the f word or Radio Shack Stinks is scrolling across the computer over and over again.
