Cool Article I found on Mego Treks

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I figured here was good

I love reading all of the articles in the My Star Trek Scrapbook Blog. He has some great stuff. My Star Trek Scrapbook

Well take a look (right now the 4th image down) at the 1975 "trek talk" scan. Talks about Mego releasing the first wave and even mentions re-stringing a body.
    It's all good!

Pretty cool how the article talks about making custom aliens from the other Mego figures available at the time.

Oh, I've been reading this blog for weeks now. Nice commentary, especially since the gentleman sounds like he's of the same age as me (46), so we remember all the cool (sometimes geeky) Trek merchandising from the early 70s, which for lack of anything else, we'd live/breathe on, like those Blish books, the 'Making Of' bigger paperbacks, blueprints, etc.

Incidentally, I STILL have my 1974 Captain America Beach Towel from those old FOOM ads in bright pristine condtion ~ Looking for the vintage Trek beach towels my buddys family had from the same timeframe ('75/76).

I have a Captain America beach towel and a Spock towel from then. My Thor towel got lost when my family moved in '76. I've been trying to find another for years and haven't seen one.

I KNOW... They're VERY hard to find..

I've spent hours (off and on..) hunting around eBay for the Trek towels, and will probably start looking for a Spidey and Thor towel as well someday soon.

Luckily my Cap towel remains MINT and unused.. (Not a lot of beaches in small town Wisconsin..) I love my mom for warning me never to actually use it or it'll fade and get worn out. I allowed her to wash it only once in a very delicate spin cycle. All the colors are still bold.
