So my daughter comes home from school on Thursday feeling crappy and hits the bed at 6:00. Sleeps all night long but still wants to go to school on Friday so she goes in. Comes home feeling worse than she did the day before and goes right back to bed. She wakes up a while later screaming in pain and we rush her into the hospital to find out she has an inflamed appendix. Of course that diagnosis keeps us in the ER for 12 hours before they admit us and then another 12 hours before they bring her in for the surgery. By that time it's perforated and becomes more of a deal than if they had done it when we first got there. Don't ask me why it took so long. She's through now and everything seems to have gone OK so now we go with some heavy antibiotics and make sure nothing that got out and into her abdomen causes any infections. Hopefully we'll get her out of here tomorrow and home. 36 hours with no sleep. Time for me to crash heavily.

So glad to hear it all worked out in the end, not sure why there was such a delay to operate after she was diagnosed, so much could have happened in that 24 hour period.Last edited by AJ Collector; Mar 13, '10, 6:49 PM. -

Best wishes, and I hope she gets to come home ASAP! Get some sleep!"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."Comment
