Any other Johnny Cash fans out there?

Before this goes any further I would like to say I did'nt put this up to see people judging the man.
Just looking to see if any share my love for the guy.
I grew up with Johnny on 8 track and he holds a special place in my heart.
Lots of memories associated with the man in black.
    Some good and some bad.
Glad he was there with me somehow.

    Anybody?

I like Johnny Cash. Not all the time, but I have a bunch of his music.

I've always liked Johnny Cash, but I guess I had a bit of a rebellion thing against country music. I watched Hee-Haw every week with my folks, but I refused to listen to country radio or buy and country albums. I came around when he released "Hurt", thinking how incredibly cool it was for the guy to make a video eulogy of himself. That takes cajones. I finally bought a CD and was hooked. I have quite a few of his releases now, and it's spilled over to the Highwaymen and Willie and Waylon too (can't say I care for Kristoferson's singing voice, but a helluva writer).

His "new" release, American VI: Ain't No Grave is very haunting. It's supposedly his final recordings, although I bet there's still a ton of unreleased stuff somewhere. But this is the last things he recorded before he died.

Oh, and I still don't like Bluegrass. Well, progressive Bluegrass like Alyson Krauss, yeah. But not the old stuff. I just can't do it.

Big fan. Really love the American series, though I haven't gotten the last one.

Are you kiddin'?? Cash was Bad-***!!!

Admittedly, I discovered him late... I mean REALLY late. A few years back, I was watching some old re-run of the Columbo TV show where Johnny cash was the murderer.

I had that particular episode on a virtual loop while I worked on some of my custom MEGOs, so I had his voice in my head quite a bit.

Then that Joaquin Phoenix film came out where he played cash and I caught it on cable and really dug it. That was when I discovered the song Folsom Prison Blues, and actually began singing it in my show.

Now I'm totally hooked. I also love to perform Ring of Fire.

There was also something so cool and mysterious about Johnny Cash... even the way he introduced himself... "Hello... I'm Johnny Cash." Simple, straight forward, and to the point, with a hint of menace...

No, there's no doubt about it. The man was a serious piece of business.

Was lucky enough to see Johnny in Baltimore a little over a decade ago. He was playing pier six (or pier five) and we were one pier over sitting on our cooler, before they built the wall so you couldn't do such things. He and June sang, and then Roseanne joined in.

I LOVE Johnny Cash...and I'm not a "Band Wagon Fan". My Dad liked him...so I grew on Cash, and can remember hearing him in my House, while I was still playing with Megos.
