Sometimes I think, "hey, what a crap ending".
Like in Prison Break. The guy survives all that, and just as he's free, he dies.
I was watching Dexter the other day (over here, we're at the point where you find out about Trinity's daughter, no spoiler's please!), and thought, "how should it all end?"
To be honest, I'm getting a bit sick and tired of the "honey sweet happy family" feeling. I know, it's different than him living in a dungeon, but it's getting annoying.
I think it's time Dex went berserk.
It would feel wrong if the show ended happily.
So for the final episodes I offer this: Dexter can't handle it anymore, his secret is revealed, and in a slasher extravaganza, most of his family is wiped out. Dexter has to be stopped and it's his sister Debra who guns him down.
Left in the carnage is the little boy, Cody, sitting in a pool of blood.
Debra carries him out, much like her father carried out young Dexter many years ago.
The last shot is of Cody's face, and you just know, that years later, it will start all over again. Dexter, The Next Generation....
If they use this ending, I want royalties....
