    Ebay Jerk Buyers!

I've been listing a bunch of my old RPG stuff on Ebay and doing pretty well with it - a lot of mint stuff but not all. I've done auctions in thid batch in the triple digits and gotten glowing, positive feedback. I just got my 100% feedback ruined by a buyer over a $5 (including shipping) transaction. He sent a note expressing his displeasure that the item was damaged (he claims), complained to Ebay that he hadn't gotten it, not that it was damaged though that was mentioned - how would he know it was damaged if he hadn't gotten it? - and left me a negative feedback before I had even gotten his note. I would've gladly paid $5 just to be rid of this jerk and keep my feedback intact. Had to vent.

I hate that crap Grant! Ebay leaves the seller in the wind all the time, there are no seller rights!!!

realistically, who cares about the negs at this point. they don't stay on your record too long - a year? and anyone who really looks at what was said will see the buyer for the idiot they are. I do get the frustration though, of an uncalled for neg like that

This is the other half a reason why i offer stuff here instead of ebay.

And i think the negatives do count. I still look at them, it's just the way i'm used to buying.

You can request that the negative be removed by ebay by claiming that it was untruthful. I know they have a form you can fill out.

That sucks ... what an idiot. Worth following up with Ebay if you have correspondence from him saying it was damaged. Sheesh, I hate liars.

Yep, I was ticked off a the 'first' idiot buyer who lied about one of my transactions, but that was back in '02 (then another one around '06). Now I'm back to 100%.

The NICE thing is that you can comment on any positive/negative feedback left, so it soften's the blow, per se.

I still get most of my Mego deals off eBay, like my recent cheap MOC FF figures (Still looking for both Sue and Ben..).

Yeah, but sometimes you gotta go where the Megos are.

I've sold several Megos here in the MM (including the Kid Flash I sold you David) and I've had no complaints or problems dealing with anyone. Wish they all could be like that.

I haven't had anybody burn my 100% positive feedback, YET (although I did have one jerk give me a neutral for an honest mistake, AFTER I refunded his money in full). However, I do have at least one high bidder in every set of auctions I run that either backs out or, more often, just drops off the face of the earth and never pays for the item or returns my emails.
