^ Thanks for that! I rode motorcyles every day for 21 years, got my bike licence before I got my car licence. I have never ridden a Harley though...one thing I will make sure I do before I die!

I have been riding since 7th grade. I had a beautiful Hodaka (anyone remember those) bike that I would ride in the woods near my house. I got bit by the cycle bug and it never let go. I never understood the big deal with Harley's until I got a Fatboy in 2005. Once you ride a Harley, it's tough to ride anything else. I was riding Kawasaki up until then and I was floored at how much better constructed and smoother riding the Harley's are. Where the foreign stuff is all plasticky parts, the Harleys are steel, chrome and brushed aluminum. Quite a bit more well made. I loved the Fatboy, but it's more of a ride around town bike and the vibration got to me on long rides (I take 6,7,8 hour rides). The Road King is perfect. I don't like a windshield or fairing as I like to feel the wind when I am riding and it dampens the vibration wonderfully. I have several rides planned for the spring and hope to ride it to the beach this summer.Comment

No problem, I love it when my threads change to topics I enjoy discussing. Yes, the color is factory and the photo doesn't do it justice. Its a rich metallic yellow that has a faint green shimmer in it. The brighter the sunlight, the more you can see the green. I get all kinds of compliments on it at the bike meets.Comment

Well, it's 62 here now at 1:15. I leave work early on Tuesdays to take a web class at night. I think I am going to grab the snowboard and hit the slopes for a few hours before class. If you don't hear from me, send the slope police!Comment
