I'd have to go with Italian sausage like many already said. A friend's wife puts oysters in the spaghetti when she makes it. Needless to say I never visit on spaghetti night.
Our favorite non-marinara recipe is borrowed from Nordstrom's cafe: pasta, roasted tomatoes & goat cheese in a garlic/butter/rosemary sauce. Add to that the meat of a chicken just out of the smoker.
Kitten is for chinese food. Spag sauce at our house is ground beef,roma pepperoni,ital sausage,pancetta and when the paycheck allows beef ribs!! Love them bones!
