Just got back from a week long vacation from Walt DisneyWorld.
Due to building a new house, going back to school and the fact that my girlfriend owns her own store and can't really take any time off, this was our first vacation in almost 6 years of being together.
I had been waiting for the right time/place to propose for several years (yes years, I had the ring in my sock drawer since 2006), One major reason I kept putting it off was the fact I had to ask her father for permission to marry his daughter (my girlfriend insisted that I do this), and he's really not the easiest guy to talk to.
I really didn't want to go to Disneyworld at all, but agreed to go just to please her, it's now my favorite place on earth. Although I was going to propose during our dinner at Cinderella's Castle, it was just too loud and busy, not what I was expecting and not at all romantic. I ended up proposing on the "It's A Small World" ride, which more specificlly is my very favorite place on earth.
Happy to say that it came as a total surprise to her and a wonderful and romantic memory that we can share. Im on cloud nine at the moment.
