Based on the other results in the tournament, I expected this game to be a close one. Could have gone either way. Great game though!
No exclusives and no chase figures, please - I'm Canadian!

I love all the hockey attention. Heck look at my pic. I did not miss a game, i recorded the ones i couldn't see live but not one minute missed. God bless the young kids of team USA and congrats to my second home in my heart, and the men and womens programs of team Canada.
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE OLYMPICS FOR HOCKEY My only wish is that it would have continued viewership but most watch just because it's the olympics.

                    Vancouver Pandemonium

                    Hi y'all,

The horns still honk (and the sirens blare from time to time) on the streets of Vancouver as I write this, and downtown is jam-packed with a flood of red clothed fans!! The game was played a few blocks from our house, and every time we scored the neighbourhood shook with horns and hoots!! I might have gone to the game if I'd had $2000-6000 to spare

The beginning reminded me a lot of 1980 - me nerves were on edge!! I'm not sure if it was that legacy, or reality, but for some reason Team USA looked much smaller than Canada, like kids wearing their Father's hockey jerseys. In the end I think that Canada played better, and had much more depth, but that the game really could have gone either way. A bounce here, a deflection there (like Kessel's goal), and Team USA would have spoiled our big Vancouver/Canada party. I was on high alert every time Kane got the puck, just as I am sure fans of Team USA were on pins and needles every time Nash or Toews carried it across the blue line.

This week I get my local rink back (it was the main practice rink for all of the teams) and see the city sober up after this amazing few weeks. The paralympics should be a nice way to ease back into reality. Maybe we'll even finally get some snow!!

Hope you all had a chance to enjoy some of the games.

                    H

That was a great game as advertised. Congrats to Canada; I just wish it wasn't Crosby who scored the GW.

That was a Hockey classic. Quite the battle, and a great example of what Hockey should be. Most Hockey on TV is boring, but you could tell those players were fighting for control the whole time. USA was physically dominant, yet played well and mostly clean, without looking like the goons of past. Canada reminded the world what stick control and crisp passing is all about. Just watch their penalty killing and you will see what I mean. Do yourself a favor and go watch your local team live, it really is much more exciting live, and you will get a much greater appreciation for the sport. I would have loved to see Team USA prevail, but I think it was somehow fitting for Team Canada to punctuate the Olympics with a win in the sport they invented.

                            Hmmmm....

I woke up yesterday to horns, screaming neighbors, sirens.... figured Canada won, or the apocalypse had come early.

                            >you could tell those players were fighting for control the whole time.

Oh yeah! NOBODY was going down easy that game.
