Hi group,
I have a 2003 Toyota 4Runner Sport.
Typical, factory in-dash CD/Tape.
My question is; has anyone actually used a device that you connect between your wiring harness and stereo to obtain an AUX 3.5mm jack to plug in your iPod?
I figured it could be done, and found these two links;
http://www.installer.com/item/displa...p?it=toy03-aux
or
http://www.gromaudio.com/store/usb_a...-usb2-toy.html
Not having an AUX button on my factory stereo, I am unsure how this works (ie; does it just 'take over' once something is plugged into the 3.5mm jack?).
I've tried the cassettes you put in the tape deck and connect the iPod; waaay too noisy from the deck and poor quality overall.
I've tried the FM device to hit an FM channel; but it goes in and out while going thru town and is generally a pain to cope with.
Thoughts or other ideas?
Thanks
