    DocMego body vs Castaway body?

With all the talk about the new Mattel body being subpar (I don't care. I'm just glad I have new Megos to buy) and a portion of the Mego community doing the switch-a-roo. I started thinking if you were to switch the bodies which would be better?

To be fair to the awesomeness of EMCE and Castaway toys I'm listing this here.
If you need a hole, I can dig it.

Both bodies have their good and bad points.

Doc's bodies are shinier, but they're strung a wee bit tight. Also, there's no articulation on the biceps.

The Castaway body is slightly darker in tone, not as shiny, but also not as tightly strung. The arm articulation is great, and none of the joints on my guys have gone loose yet!

Unfortunately, they are rather porous, as are Doc's so for heaven's sake, don't put them into a black leotard! It will seep into the plastic, and then you'll have to get the Remove-zit stuff to get rid of the stain.

I wonder if these puppies will stand up to a couple of shots of Scotch-guard to prevent stains.

      How about Dave, Doc?

Can they withstand a shot of the Scotch-guard?

I put cast-away arms on my doc megos bodies all problems solved for me everytime.

Just personal preference, but I gotta go with Doc MEgo bodies.

One thing I've found with a lot of the Castaway bodies is the way the legs fit into the hips. It's hard to get them to stand without the hip sticking out to one side. I also have noticed the arms are a shade longer than necessary. I love the hands on Castaways, but much prefer Doc's body. Wait, that came out wrong...

All things being equal, I'd prefer to customize on a vintage Type2, but that's not realistic all the time. Both products are high quality, though.
