Can anyone help with a TV show, It was a comedy , maybe like Amazing Stories or something like that. The episode I'm trying to remember has a girl putting food down a well feeding people in the center of the Earth. It started out sending stuff down like a radio and other stuff. And they would send up gold or jewels or something ,can't remember what. She send them down chicken and they liked it and wanted more.It was set on a farm. It was from a show like Amazing Stories if you remember it,each week it showed a different show of a differnet type.Help please its driving me NUTS

"Tales From The Darkside" is the only "anthology" type of series I can think of from back then (other than the revamped TZ), but I'm guessing that's not it since you said it was a comedy...

Sometimes those anthology shows would throw a comedic episode in on rare occasions. Even Twilight Zone had at least one.

It was the Amazing Stories episode "Thanksgiving" with Kyra Sedgwick & David Carridine.

David Carridine was "very tasty" in the show.

Amazing Stories was a great show...I have to pick up the DVD set of this now that you've reminded me of it. Surprised this isn't running on tv somewhere (or is it?)

            My favorite episode? "Hell Toupee"

I think the problem wasn't so much whether it was a good show or not. I think the problem was they hyped that show so much that you expected Elvis was coming back from the dead and when it came out it was just a decent show but not the Second Coming that it was all hyped out to be.
The only episode I remember is the Mark Hamill one where he never threw anything out. I believe that was the premiere episode.

I remeber that one he had an old car filled with everything he ever had.Didn't he get convinced to sell it all at the end.

Yeah, everything he had was something coveted by collectors. Like Detective #27 and the cars was boattail Austin or a Cord.

There were only a few episodes that stood out from this series, when we started watching Tales from the Darkside my wife asked about the well episode thinking it was a Darkside show. Your right they had a ton of hype about the show, only 2 seasons, must not have measured up.
