The infamous Hot wheels Batmobile. I had begun to think of the whole thing as a hoax, or some kind of legend along the lines of Big Foot or the Loch Ness monster. Besides some fuzzy pictures, and a bunch of stories, I had never seen one.(Actually, I saw ONE...it was locked in a glass case at a hobby shop with a $15.00 price tag on it!!)
I had searched every Hot wheels display I had come across, driven across most of Western Canada and the United States...with no luck! I had given up....it just wasnt meant to be.

Today, my Sister asked me to go with her to Wal-Mart. She had bought a tv cabinet for her home, and needed me to help with the lifting. As we walked by the toy department, my Sister stopped, assuming I would do the usual and take a tour before moving on. I declined, saying the only thing I might look for is a Batmobile, and nobody has those. "You mean like this one?", she replied as she reached over my shoulder and grabbed a Hot Wheels Batmobile off of the rack RIGHT BEHIND ME as though it was no big deal. ...."Yeah, like that one", I sheepishly replied.

I was able to hold myself in check until I got home, where I broke into insane Hyena like laughter for a few minutes...(ok, hours). A good day.....yep, a good day indeed.

captain thats how it was for me . when i found my hotwheels batmobile i was in line at wal-mart and was in line at checkout some old lady looked like she was having problems behind me so i let her go ahead of me and then when i looked at the stuff at checkout there was a batmobile . wouldnt have found it if i didnt let the lady go. then i searched for more and found a second one. went home happy as can be.

That's great....I still haven't found one and I usually try to check out the HW rack whenever I go to Walmart. I find it a pain in the Butt looking through the racks and having half of them fall off as I'm searching.

My husband won one at the Pittsburgh Comicon for being a finalist in the trivia challenge.

I found 2 of them at the Kaybee Toy store,.. last week after the trip to the concert I went to. That was the 1st time I saw them. Perhaps more of them are out there now for everyone.

I have found about a dozen and left at least that many hanging. All of these were on the pegs, no pallet raiding or anything. Sent most out, customized three of them (that was a big hit here ), got some boxed up for Adam West, and still have 3 or so.

A good hint in Hot Wheel hunting, stay away from Wal-Mart. This year, Dollar General has gotten a little bigger into Hot Wheels and each store are getting about a case a month.

Yeah or hit your local grocery store. You may have to pay a little bit extra but the odds will hopefully be in your favor of finding one.

I have found 1!! at retail. Sammy chewwed on that one, so someone here was nice enough to send another to me. they were both on different format cards, one had a brief history of the Barris mobile on the back.

I still look occasionally when I'm at Target or Walmart, but have only found them in the 10 packs. I still am determined to find one myself, despite more offers from museum members than I can count. You guys rock.

I about gave up the search about two weeks ago when I finally found five of them at the local Wal-Mart's. I grabbed two of them along with five mystery cars.

Found two......one in Winnipeg MB, the other in Grande Prairie AB.
