Max Steel is no more, Stretch Armstrong moves on...

It appears as though Mattel's Max Steel (which was rumored to have some Big Jim action) has been moving along far too slow for it's inked star. Instead the same guy chose Stretch Armstrong instead. Apparently he's only fit to play one toy.

Why bother with Max Steel when you can make the Six Million Dollar Man?

Why bother with Stretch Armstrong when you can make Plastic Man?

At what point do you just admit you have no creative thoughts of your own and are just pitching movies based on what you find in your mother's attic one Sunday afternoon?

"Here's the pitch: Ugly Sweater Aunt Susie Made Me for Christmas of '78! It's the story of a magical ugly sweater and it's power to get you beat up everyday after school during the winter months when your mom makes you wear it. It'll be a HIT!"

Seriously... reminds me of the Robot Chicken "Hungry Hungry Hippos" trailer...

I can't see a Stretch Armstrong movie doing very well. It's just not one of those properties ingrained in the subconsciouness of America.

        Max Steel is cheaper?

I think ANY film could do well; but if they're already playing it safe by going for name recognition it kinda makes me think they're not gonna go too far out on a limb to produce something unique and interesting.

I suspect a Stretch movie will have just the right balance of humor and special effects, while targeting kids. I think it has some humor potential that could boost it. Max Steel is a novel idea, but unless they played it straight (which I don't see) it become a lot more skewed, IMO.
