I think he does that every day anyway....

I want to see a live action Tom and Jerry.
Tom would be played by Danny Glover, and older cat who's just one day away from retirement.
But on that very same day, a new mouse gets in the house, Mad Jerry. To make it more real, this mouse has a drinking problem, and some serious issues with female police officers.

In the end, they have to team up because Gary Busey (Ariba!Ariba!) intends the raid the cheese buffet in a most daring robbery.

Only here in the U.S. do you find PC conscious Mexican-Americans crying and complaining about Speedy Gonzalez...in Mexico itself...Speedy is very popular...they show his cartoons down there all the time.

I do find George Lopez funny (although not Dave Chappelle funny)...the reason many don't...is simply because they don't get his "Spanglish" jokes...especially with his "Mexican" slang in his routine...for example, "Hey Jose, I want a burger instead of a taco", and Jose answers: "La neta buey, ya la cagastes". You see, to non-Mexicans, that's just lame gibberish, but to beaners, that stuff is hilarious...that's called an alburear joke, a Mexican way on play on words...something that not even non-Mexican Latinos can relate to...much less to English/Anglo culture.

That's why I do find him funny as a stand up...but not on the George Lopez Show (which I never watched)...and don't watch is current talk show...I just like his stand up routine...which is classic R-rated alburear jokes.

I loved old Speedy toons...and I don't mind a remake...I'm all for Speedy Gonzalez...the new with the old.

        Yepa, yepa, yepa!!!

Well said Hector...George cracks me up and yes sorry for the gringos pero he does tell in jokes that we hispanics get......I like Speedy never was offended by the toon.....

I love the Gary Busey idea.

My choice for Speedy (or slowpoke) would be John Leguizamo. He's enough of a mixed bag of heritage and enough of a "moving target" in that respect.
