Man, everything named I like. The only thing I can add is "The Birdman Of Alcatraz."

Midnight Express and Brubaker. Just rewatched ME on Blu-ray a few months ago and the picture looked VERY good for an older lower budget flick.

Oh yeah, bad boys with Penn was a good flick. They were technically in juvy, but that still works.

I remember seeing an old prison movie once on TV starring Alan Alda

Not sure if I dreamed that or not

Same here... I actually re-read Dumas in anticipation of the Caviezel film in 2002... I was a bit dissapointed but not bad, the book is just untouchable.

                1. Shawshank
2.Green Mile (so close to the book it's just awesome)
                3. Innocent Man (don't talk to me out' the side of yo neck when I am trying to do you a solid!...)

Oh and I love Stir Crazy, it represents my just starting to get humor stage as a kid...

Of all the above mentioned, shawshank was jaw dropping to watch, but one u Guys missed and Im really suprised is "in the name of the father" , with Daniel Day Lewis and Emma Thompson, true story of the men wrongly accused of the IRA bombings, fantastic emotionaly moving film

Another one, more for the english crowd here "Scum" with a very young Ray Winstone. It was one of those banned films at the time with a certificate X
