I know I've taken a chance in the past buying things I wasn't sure of and gotten burned but you never know when you will hit a good one so no harm trying."God has put definite limits on the heights of man's wisdom, but no limits to the depths of his stupidity"Comment

It's always hit or miss but worth taking the shot. You just need to diversify and if you lose on one, you make up for it on another. You learn a new lesson and move on.
Keep at it long enough and you'll make more money than mistakes just from the experience."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

I basically stick to toys, sports items, and the unusual items, but I have made enough money that I can risk buying something I know nothing about, i.e. this clock for example.
This was my 2nd mantle clock I have bought in my hunting. The first was a steeple style clock from the mid 1800's I bought alittle over a year ago. It looked like junk, and didn't work. I paid $50 for it and sold it for just over $300 because of the works maker, I forget his name. At this same estate sale, I went off my usual items and bought a set of California china for $50 and it sold for around $400. It cost the lady who won it another $300 to ship it, there were 70 pieces to the set.sigpicComment
