I need a new water heater!

Two days with out hot water is no fun and the unit I have is 8 years old (warranty was for 6 years) and can’t be fixed so it's time to shell out $850.00 which includes installation.....

Funny the things we take for granted! You don’t think about things like hot water until you don’t have it anymore!

But I am more then happy to go from brrrrrrrrrr to

Been there, done that, took the cold showers!
Never happens at a convenient time either...

We live in a 100+ yo farm house that was in pretty bad shape when we bought it. There was no hot water for a couple of months until we got the plumbing patched up. Used to do baths by boiling up 5 gallons on a propane burner outside and then sloshing it into the tub with some cold water to filler up. Glad to not do that one anymore. Now we have a space saving 'on demand' jobby that looks like a piece of the space shuttle and we never, ever run out of hot H20.

I work for a plumbing supply company...whatever you do, stay away from Weil McClain heaters. Nothing but problems. My suggestion is a Rheem water heater.

I was thinking of that but no time for research, I need HOT WATER! But I will make sure the unit is cost effective….. I think I get a tax break next year.

That sounds like a great place to live Jim! I used to have a summer place in Roscoe (Sullivan County area) I was ten feet off the water..... There is nothing like sitting in front of a roaring fire with the river as your back drop.

I plan on retiring upstate one day!
