    I recently read a MAD for the first time in decades. It wasn't even funny anymore. Made me realize I wasn't missing anything all these years. Way too angry and political. Plus they totally changed the format. Barely recognized the old fella.

        while kind of on this subject is the sort of competitor magazine "cracked" still around?

          I was wondering that myself. I don't think it's still printed but there is a Cracked.com.

            I'm glad it isn't just me! My son loves "Mad" (except for the overly political stuff) -- I read through an issue, and thought the same as you -- made me afraid it was the first signs of old age, and that I'd be out shouting at kids to get off my $@#! lawn next . . .

              Its got REAL ads on it now.

              Like MTV having Tv Shows, Cartoon naetwork having Live Action, They screwed it up.
