Hey everyone , well I just got suckered into thinking I found a great job for the time being. I answered an ad on craigslist for a full time carpet cleaner. With my background in cleaning and restoration it seemed like a good idea. I had my interview yesterday and was hired on the spot. Everything seemed and felt right. Well today was orientation day and come to find out it wasnt for carpet cleaning in the general sense..... they were a Kirby distributor and were looking for salesmen. No salary , would have to set my own appointments including door to door , and I would have had to buy the machine myself to get started which retails at 2 grand!!! Funny how none of this was mentioned in the ad or my interview.... Back to the grind of looking for work.

Man, that really stinks. In this climate the last thing you need is a let down. Keep looking, something good will come up. I'm out there looking too.

I have not heard back from my interview last wednesday. i think i scared them off. oh well. i just have to keep on keeping on...and enjoy not being in the slavemines for a bit.

That sucks. Those scumbag sales companies always have to trick people like that because they know they couldn't find any decent people to do their crap jobs if they were upfront from the beginning. If they are willing to trick and deceive prospective employees, just imagine the crap they will pull with potential customers.
