    I remember him complaining of chest pains last season...and doctors had told him to quit smoking...but he continued.

    He was a colorful character.

          That sucks. Haven't watched it as much lately but the first three seasons I didn't miss it. Wouldn't do that job for anything. You gotta be one tough SOB to do it, but in the end we're all mortal. RIP Captain.
          It's not a doll it's an action figure.

                Sad to hear, he had a blood clot last season with some other health problems.. His 2 sons work on the boat too... RIP Phil

                      I met him at a bike show last year he was very pleasant to everybody in line even those not "buying" an autograph (which isn't always the case)

                      He was a likeable rogue on the show and his sense of humor will surely be missed
