Y'know, a couple people have mentioned some cartoons, which made me realize how many cartoons have never been available, even on vhs. That's a bottomless pit but I think that's also where all the money would go if someone actually put that stuff out.

"He learned almost too late that man is a feeling creature... and because of it, the greatest in the universe."

      It Conquered the World
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Wow I had no idea Six Million And Bionic hadnt been released !! I wonder why.

The laser disc is a good idea. I had a VHS copy of widescreen theatrical release Star Wars and X rated Robocop.

Has the restored Robocop been released?

I thought for sure a lot of these shows were out after seeing Marty Croft , Great Space Coaster and other obsure stuff in the store . .

As for the 66 Batman, I gave up and went bootleg.

I was talking about Highwayman with some younger colleagues just a couple of days ago. None of them had ever heard of it, I felt old

Just got a Grace Kelly movie to transfer for my uncle...it was the 2nd to last film she made. The Swan...it's out of print on video...it was released on Laserdisc in Widscreen format. I love the listing on Amazon for the movie..."Region Free" Format DVD

Surprised that this movie isn't out on DVD...all of Grace Kelly's movies are out except for this one.

Luckily NTSC or PAL isn't an issue with Blu-ray transfers, they're neither format, HD is HD. Menus and extras might not be HD though, so for those elements the NTSC/PAL issue may raise it's ugly head.

Six Million Dollar Man is official...it just aint official here on the US. Again, that's where a multi region player comes in real handy.

Correct. There is no issue. The frame rate and aspect ratio are usually a defined number.

A really good way to bypass the NTSC and PAL along with region problems is to just rip the disc and convert. I do this at work all the time. We get discs from around the world and we go in a rip to NTSC or PAL and transcode to which ever format we need. Even re-burn to DVD-R to play on DVD players.
I would rather work with digital files than discs anyway.

Tight, the series never has seen any form or release but it's overdue and would love to see it out, well more so my daughter who loves it.
LIB is great movie and I guess I'm one of the few that enjoys the Get Back/Let It Be project and the undertakings. There is rumor that it was suppose to be released and remastered with bonus material but was again held back. Might be copyright issues.

I agree with the LD but the only thing is the resolution is not clear. It's a step up from VHS but not Beta. Beta is far more clear than LD as long as you have clear source. We get Beta tapes from music labels with videos that are pretty clear but the audio is sub-par due to poor compression and mastering levels. We've used LD discs as source for a while but released how low the resolution is so we stopped using it and went to DVDs, Beta or digital files.

Anyway, I would love to see LIB on DVD with the Glyn Johns 3 versions of Get Back.

I've watched the movie a few times in the past 10 years and I have to say...it's so depressing that you may NOT want it to be released. Best thing about it is the Rooftop concert. What bugs me the most is the footage that was shown in the Anthology is definitely cleaned up...so they had intentions of a re-release. I won't hold my breath though.

That's why it's great having my Laserdisc player...the stuff that's not released on DVD was released on LD. I've got Let It Be as well as Rockshow on LD...and the unedited Looney Toons Cartoons and Tom and Jerry cartoons. Laserdisc players can be found on the cheap these days...might be worth the investment for anyone that has to have those out of print movies.
