Two for One - Interesting Article

    Hey,
    Was just reading this article:

    http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/...69651706799643

Noticed that besides the Tron Remake, they make mention of a Logan's Run remake. Hadn't heard that.

Not sure if I like either idea, but we will see.

I love the movie and arcade game "Tron". So this will not be a remake, it will be "the next chapter". I am guessing a sequel?

There's been talks of a TRON sequel for ages now and has come close a couple of times. The Last one was going to be called TRON 2.0. But nothing came of it other than the Killer App video game. Which was actually pretty good and was more or less a sequel to movie.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I liked both the originals, but I would'nt mind seeing remakes, with todays technology the way it is,these movies have the potential to be aweosme (not the originals weren't but you know what I mean )

I wonder if a modern "Tron" could have the same type of impact. Although the movie was only moderately successful, the effects were considered pretty groundbreaking (early CG effects). Today, I think many audiences are pretty much acclimatized to CG. I'm not sure what they would do.

I do think, however, Logan's Run's plot would still resonate today. I had not heard that there was a remake in the works. With today's climate in Hollywood, I am not surprised. I just read yesterday about plans for a big screen version of Speed Racer.

(((BTW, Speed Racer is set for release one week after Iron Man)))

Being a big Logan's Run fan I have heard about the remake for the past 10 years. It is still trying to get off the ground. They keep getting a new director all the time.
