I Feel Bad For People Without A Hamburglar Glass

I was enjoying a a diet Dr. Pepper in my 70's Hamburglar glass last night and I thought- People are missing out by not plopping a crazy straw into a McDonald's character glass.

OK, maybe not a Hamburglar glass, specifically, or even a character glass for that matter. I'm really talking about enjoying simple things like I did when I was a child. Collecting, especially toys, lets you do that. I feel a little bad for those missing out on these simple joys. It could be wearing a Cap'n Crunch T-shirt or singing along with a band you know is not that great but you loved them as a kid. No explanation necessary. Its just enjoying something for no better reason than you enjoy it.

With all the busy, stressful things that go down in our adult lives, there's real joy in deciding which of the McDonaldland characters will accompany my dinner at night. And I do use a crazy straw.

I had no idea what a total crap-fest my life was. Now I know and I know what I can do about it. Thanks, Bill.

The Hamburglar glass is cool, but I prefer the more colorful Mayor McCheese glass.

I haven't had a drink at home for the last 30+ yrs that wasn't out of my Fonzie glass. And I won't stop, no matter what my shrink tells me..

Well, I drink from my various cups and glasses like SMDM, BW, Star Trek, POTA, Star Wars, Kellogg's cereal characters, etc., and eat from various character plates too. And I feel bad for people who don't take time out to watch some old school Saturday morning and eat some sugar coated bliss in their fave jammies, even if it's just for an hour. Try it sometime, it may brighten up an otherwise dreary weekend!

The simple things in life really are best.Hamburglar glass, crazy straw, just add a pop tart, and something on tv by Sid, and Marty Croft, and you've got "70's kid bliss"!

Yeah, well it's not so easy trying to sip root beer out of an upside-down Oscar finger puppet. Takes forever.

I know exactly what you mean. I *almost* pulled the trigger on a Pong clone the other day. I have a mini shrine to my grandparents' basement in a corner of my own basement, including both their recliners. I'm really feeling kicking back in one of them and getting my blip on. My glass is Speedy Gonzales BTW.

I miss walking to the corner carry-out and buying coverless comics 10 for a buck and reading them on a lazy summer day. Thanks for bumming me out Bill..........

Add a plain cheese sandwich and some Fritos and I'm there! Although, I have to admit that a simple bendy straw to me is much better than a labor intensive crazy straw
                      It's all good!

No crazy straw here, but I drink out of Garfield glass mugs every night.

Our local Quick fast food chain did a Batman glasses promotion a couple of years back.
When it was finished, I asked if they had any glasses left. They gave me two cases of 12 for free....
