I don't. I feel their bad reputation is well earned.

People don't like them because they are hyper, screechy, stupid acting and mean spirited. I don't find seltzer down the pants or a pie to the face all that amusing.

I also personally don't fear clowns. It's more of a deep seated hatred.

But, I do like one clown. I still have a soft spot for Ronald McDonald. He wasn't violent, spastic, didn't talk in a shrill voice or act like an imbecile. Thank goodness the Willard Scott version of Ronald didn't take. That is nasty.
Ronald McDonald is the most evil of all...he has personally ordered the slaughter of millions upon millions of cows throughout the years.

        I'm good with that.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Clowns have never scared me, I've actually always liked clowns, and even considered doing some birthday party work as a clown once upon a time.

As for that commercial (which I never saw before), it teaches us one thing and one thing only: WATCH WHERE YOU STEP!!
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

            I'm just being silly.

Here's an old McDonaldland commercial. I loved that stuff as a kid. Had all the Remco figures and even the McDonaldland playset.

See, I don't hate clowns. Well at least not all of them.

The the Real Life Superheroes movement came along.
