Just out of curiosity Sentry (and others reading this) don't you agree?
(or do ya think the first one's plot/script was just as shallow as the other two)

Eiither way, I'll tell ya two things I love:

    1) The RAMBO franchise

    and

    2) The term "crimson pudding"

Plot quality or not, I'm sure we'll have a great time seeing this movie Sentry!
I agree! First Blood was a hard act to follow, so if you can't with plot, then do it with senseless violence and action. Glad you liked my empasis on Rambo, John J.

I'll have to trust you on that one. I own a copy of The Lords of Flatbush on DVD, but you couldn't pay me enough to watch Stallone sing C & W.

what you don't think a 60 year old man could take on an army by himself or hang with a 20 something year old heavy weight in the ring?

I don't know about "an army" but if they woulda stuck with the type of
crew they had in the first RAMBO movie (like a police force---or a group
of kidnappers like it was rumored to be in RAMBO IV), then yes, I thought
a creme de la creme soldier/perfect killing machine 60 year old could
indeed meet the challenge----as it would've been heavy on the
"brains over brawn" approach----after seeing the trailer----it don't look that way

Also, I have to note that Sly did TRY his darndest to make ROCKY at 60 having
any kind of success in the ring more plausible by having the
20-something break his hand during the fight (Sly can be accomadating
                        a bit at times!)

My mother is a HUGE "Sly" fan, you can't imagine the terror she's subjected me to, it's okay I still love her.

Lords of Flatbush was great, my favorite part is when he's talkin about pretending to be a pigeon.
                          "Yooua flyyyin and yooua flllllyyyyyn!"

                          Classic man, utterly classic.

But Rhinestone is worth it alone for when he's playing the organ singing the R&B medley (badly I might add) during a funeral. I howl at that even today.

                                Rockys Movie age??

did they ever actually say Rocky's age? I dont remember it being mentioned, i was under the impression and also from what i heard from an old stallone interview that the " George Foreman " being the oldest champ of all time inspired him with an older Rocky fighting a young champ.

That was pretty cool when Foreman at that age, i believe close to 50 knocked out the champ Mike Moorer with a single punch, afterall its true in fighting power is the last to go!!
