It is sad news. Bowe is very underrated. His style (in his prime) reminded me of a young Larry Holmes.

Bowe was an excellent fighter but his skills have eroded and he would get KOed inside of 3 rounds with anyone who has any kind of skill. Sad part of the heavyweight division is that you still have hangers on like Bowe and Holyfield who can be competitive because the division, once you get past the top 6 really sucks.

The Sweet Science ain't what it used to be. The modern era heavyweights are trash. you have to look at the lower weight classes for good boxing which is one of the reasons it's losing viewership - most casual fans like to see heavys

This is how it's always been Older fighters just don't know when to quit and many times it's not about the money. It's what they do.

These guys have been fighting since they were kids. This is what they know. Boxing History has shown how many greats just couldn't put down the gloves.

I honestly don't think they know how too.....it comes down to their bodies just not being able to go through the vigor of working out every day. That eventually makes them stop.....as long as there is money to be made and people willing to see older guys fight it will continue.......
