"Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
Congrats Gorn. Sounds like she has embraced your lifestyle with open arms. Have you embraced any of hers? Go to church now?
I wouldn't want to be struck by lightning....
Seriously, I have the utmost respect for all religions that do not impose themselves on me. And it would have been hypocritical of me to have wedding vows in church.
As for embracing her lifestyle: I have a Star Trek teddy bear. Does that count?

My wife and I intend on having our vows renewed. When we were last in the US, we had hoped for an authentic native American ceremony, but boy, that was expensive. The Native American philosophy is one we can relate to. Respect for all that lives, including plants and animals, the world around us.
Unfortunately, even though I regret what was done to Native Americans with all my heart, my wallet just couldn't measure up to the price....
And no, Mike in a Halloween Apache get-up wouldn't be the same, thank you very much....
